It all started when I chose to upgrade the sound system of my Volkswagen Vanagon camper with more powerful and better sounding components. After everything was finally in place, I unfortunately noticed that I had to pump the music quite loud just to hear it... and even there, I was still missing much of the lower harmonics. On long trips, loud music, engine, road and wind noises were making the driving experience less pleasurable than it should have been.

I've only done the font portion of the van so far, but I can already confirm that B-Quiet products are making a huge difference. I can now actually hear my co-pilot when she's suggesting I should take the next exit!

I used the original sound deadening mat of the Vanagon as a guide for the Vcomp pattern. I would suggest cutting larger than the OEM sound mat, so you can put the Vcomp in place, and then make the final adjustments, trying to keep the Vcomp coverage to its maximum (but stay clear of the pedals). I used the door trim the same way with Brown Bread. Adding a slice of Brown Bread to the inner door is good for you. It forms an additional sound barrier, and thus, it is more efficient than simply applying one layer to the outer face of the door. After doing so, you should hear the doors closing with a low "Thud" instead of resonant "Boing". Maxime Gelinas

The door with the factory panel removed

Using the door panel to measure the size of Brown Bread needed.

Brown Bread applied to the front door skins.

The interior stripped down to bare sheet metal ready for the installation.

Brown Bread added as first layer, with Vcomp over top. The result - "a huge difference"
